Dreams Never End, A Multi-Media Exploration
In examining the commonality between the multiple definitions of ‘dream,’ I explore the emotions and experiences tied to goals, aspirations, and sleep. I use these perceptions to interpret into literal and abstract works that represent these sensations, using a variety of media. The use of an array of mediums is significant, in that it reflects on the often-common differentiation in dreams from person to person.
The duality involved in dreams and dreaming is something that is heavily investigated throughout this series. As with both, you have positive and negative sides of the spectrum. For example, positive dreams and nightmares, goals that come to fruition and those that do not, or aspirations that one has met, but are still not satisfied with. These works help bridge together the relationships between the definitions of ‘dream’ and encourage viewers to read between the lines of reality.
