Allie Pishock is a practicing artist living in Gainesville, Florida, and is currently pursuing a degree in Art Education at the University of Florida. Allie obtained her Associate's Degree in Art in 2020 from Hillsborough Community College and has shown work at various venues throughout Florida. She has also been involved in various art education-related programs within the state and continues to pursue opportunities related to art education.
Artist's Statement
As a future art educator, learning about multiple mediums is important to me, as becoming a well-rounded artist will allow for more variety in my future classroom. As a result, I have been adamant about practicing in a wide array of mediums including ceramics, sculpture, painting, and photography. Humor and play are evident in my work, as I deliberately choose to go about art-making in a way in which I don't take myself too seriously. This leads me to adopt a very experimental approach to my practice.
